Tuesday 3rd September: Divine boys, rip to the kimchi jaffle & serving stars
See Monday’s intro.
The Headlines
A massive brewery just opened in Melbourne Park and it’s beach inspired; let’s hope it’s more Mornington Peninsula than St Kilda. The summer of sports is about to get a little bit silly.
A sad day for West Melbourne’s kimchi jaffle lovers. Japanese and Korean inspired Moon Mart will be closing its doors later this month. You’ve got until the 22nd to get your final pork katsu sando fix.
In better news, spring is here and Melbourne is about to thrive. This handy feature has got it all planned out for us. We’re talking alfresco drinks, experiential dining and the AFL grand finals.
Where to Eat and Drink
Living up to the so-called ‘European vibe’ of Melbourne, this CBD wine bar will make you feel like you’re sitting people watching on the streets of Barcelona. Kirk’s Wine Bar has a chic interior and a small but classy menu - perfect place to impress a Hinge date.
Where to Live
This gorgeous room in Collingwood comes with divine boys as part of the furnishings. Not a word we’ve ever used to describe male housemates but this flat apparently has three of them. Core selling point: the personal staircase.
Where to Work
If you are still planning to be unemployed by January, this is a perfect opportunity to dine with the stars (or more likely serve the fans). The Aus Open is hiring food and drink supervisors to work during the tournament.
Where to Go
Indulge in some Aussie humour @ LIDO comedy, 7:30 tonight. Tickets are only $11, nothing lost by leaving at the interval if it’s bad.
