Thursday 19th September: Italy in Melbourne, pizza trivia & barista housemates
It's a week on since we sent you to find the love of your life in South Yarra and you're reading this together, right? If not, here's another Thursday round up to take your mind off it.
The Headlines
Very very excited for this one. Specially selected for their first opening outside of Italy, Melbourne's CBD is getting a 3000 square foot artisan food hall, opening today. With 23 artisan vendors, community events, and food masterclasses, this isn't one to miss.
If, like us, you're overwhelmed by the amount of tasty Chinese food on offer in Melbourne, here is a list of 25 of the best to narrow it down a bit for you. From quick cheap eats to fine dining, from the CBD to Preston, there is something for everyone.
Revs will reopen tonight following a closure after the horrific incident at the weekend. It'll just be for the Thursday 3181 dinner service, but back to normal tomorrow. They're promising increased security measures when they are back so we can all feel that little bit safer on the dance floor.
Where to Eat and Drink
Living up to the so-called ‘European vibe’ of Melbourne, this CBD wine bar will make you feel like you’re sitting people watching on the streets of Barcelona. Kirk’s Wine Bar has a chic interior and a small but classy menu - perfect place to impress a Hinge date.
Where to Live
Like every other Fairy Floss listing, this room gets an amazing amount of sunlight all day long. We're disappointed for you if it's unfurnished and you have to wave goodbye to the blue chair and orange table set up at the end of the bed. A barista housemate surely means you finally have no excuse to stumble into Market Lane every day anymore.
Core selling point: Funky shops nearby, whatever that means.
Where to Work
There's no bigger act of respect to your friendship group than bagging this job at Cotton On. Rumour has it the discount is a sweet 50% off so you'll be everyone's favourite in no time.
Where to Go
Not your average sticky floor, beer soaked answer sheet pub quiz, Compass Pizza in Brunswick hosts a fun trivia night on a Thursday. Rather than disappointing pub grub, tuck in to actually decent food whilst you try and impress your team mates with minimal general knowledge.
